ST. PETER’S ATTACKER BECOMES FIRST NEW RCNJ 2022 PLAYER SIGNING

Updated: Feb 24, 2022

Real Central NJ Soccer announced the signing of Conlan Paventi for the 2022 season, pending league and federation approval. The 19 year old St Peter's forward will be playing in USL League Two for the first time in his career. He tallied two goals and an assist for the Peacocks in 2021, including a winner in double overtime against Iona.

“Conlan really impressed us,” said head coach Brian Woods. “We thought he was one of the better players at tryouts. We liked his energy and attitude on the field.”

Paventi has track-star speed and is a great finisher in and around the box. He tallied 45 goals for South Hunterdon High School in 2019 and was the top goalscorer in New Jersey.

“Generating scoring chances against some of the best teams in the league will be important,” said Men’s General Manager Ira Jersey. “Conlan makes clever runs and is able to outpace his markers, so he should contribute to our attack.”

USL League Two is a pre-professional soccer league that allows elite college talent to play at a highly competitive level in the NCAA off-season. League Two is known for giving players a stepping stone to the professional game.

“I want to make my mark on USL,” said Paventi about his goals for the 2022 season. “I want to score a lot of goals and get some assists. As a team, I want to win games.”

Paventi and RCNJ will open the 2022 USL League Two season at Philadelphia Lone Star on May 14th. The men’s will host the Ocean City Nor’Easters on May 21st for its home opener at Mercer County Community college.
