REAL CENTRAL NJ SOCCER ANNOUNCES 2022 WOMEN’S WPSL SEASON SCHEDULE


Real Central NJ Soccer announced its schedule for its second WPSL season. The 2022 schedule features four home games that will be played at Mercer County Community College with another four games on the road:

  1. AWAY: May 21 vs. Lehigh Valley Tempest

  2. AWAY: May 24 vs. Philly Fever SC

  3. AWAY: June 2 vs. Torch FC

  4. HOME: June 12 vs. PA Classics

  5. HOME: June 14 vs. Torch FC

  6. AWAY: June 25 vs. PSA Monmouth

  7. HOME: June 30 vs. Hershey FC

  8. HOME: July 2 vs. PSA Monmouth


RCNJ will open the 2022 campaign on the road at Lehigh Valley on May 21 and will continue its away streak on May 24 against Philly Fever and on June 2 against Torch FC, before returning home to face PA Classics on June 12 for its home opener.


"In our inaugural season, we were very competitive and advanced to the Conference Championship game," said head coach Brian Thomsen. "From the first training session, it was evident the players were committed to competing and setting the foundation for the Club's playing style".


This year's roster will feature familiar returning players while adding many new players who will be well known to Central Jersey soccer fans. "We are excited about our second season and to see what this group of truly talented players can accomplish," said assistant coaches Kim Maurer and Jake Nesteruk.


The team will continue at home against Torch FC on June 14 before going back on the road to face PSA Monmouth on June 25.


"Our second season has us matched up in a great division of teams, with the opportunity to play many new area clubs," said men's general manager, Ben Chrnelich. "We're continuing in our efforts to build a club that promotes great soccer players from our region with a focus on fans," he added. "We're bringing on new sponsors, the addition of food trucks, and some themed nights — so, it's going to be an exciting season of family fun and competitive soccer."


RCNJ will wrap up the season with two final match-ups at home; the team will face Hershey FC on June 30 and then PSA Monmouth on July 2.
