Real Central defeats the Lone Stars 4-1

June 13th, 2026

WEST WINDSOR, NJ – On Saturday night, Real Central defeated the Philadelphia Lone Stars 4-1 after a physical match. Real Central earned their fourth win in USL 2 play.

The Lone Stars put themselves on the board early, scoring off a corner in just the third minute. Real Central responded 7 minutes later, with a goal from Luke Pompliano. The ball was switched to defender Cole Sotack, who slotted Pompliano in.

Building out of the back, Real Central played Nathan Brown, who came in for Kaelan Debbage in the 12th minute, used his speed to get by the defender and sent a ball to the 6-yard box to Pompliano for a tap-in.

Throughout the night, Philadelphia obtained 7 yellow cards and 3 red cards, including ejections for their head coach and one assistant coach. Though the score-line shows a semi-dominant win for The Ponies, the Lone Stars had 3 goals taken away from them due to being offside.

Pompliano topped off his hat-trick in the 67th minute, with an assist from a backheel flick by forward Andrew Kitch. Pompliano, who was player of the match, was subbed off after his third goal of the night.

Real Central kept their offensive pressure up through the end of the match. Hines won the ball in the midfield and played a through ball to sub Daniil Kaban, who then found himself one-on-one with the keeper, slotting it home to end the game.

Real Central's next USL 2 game is at Reading United on Tuesday, June 16th. Kickoff is set for 7 pm.
