MLS ALL-STAR LABROCCA NAMED REAL CENTRAL NJ SOCCER ASSISTANT COACH

Central NJ - Real Central NJ Soccer is thrilled to announce the appointment of Nicholas LaBrocca, a Central Jersey native and MLS 2011 All-Star, as the assistant coach of our men's first team. LaBrocca, whose roots run deep in Howell Township and who showcased his talents at Rutgers University, brings a wealth of experience and a storied career back to the local soccer scene.

“Nick and the other new staff and players gives us a sense of excitement about our chances to make the playoffs this year,” RCNJ men’s head coach Brian Woods said. “I’m looking forward to the challenge of the season in arguably the strongest USL2 conference.”

LaBrocca's soccer journey began at Christian Brothers Academy, a New Jersey high school soccer powerhouse, leading him to Rutgers where he earned All-Big East honors three times. His professional career saw him being drafted by the Colorado Rapids in the MLS Super Draft's second round, accumulating over 200 matches across a decade with four clubs.

“Our goal is to lift trophies,” said LaBrocca.

LaBrocca has his US Soccer Federation “A” Coaching license, the second-highest coaching qualification offered. Recently he has coached youth soccer and worked Woods with FC Monmouth.

“I’m excited to have Nick on staff, he’s going to be a great addition and help us to build our culture,” said Ira Jersey, men’s general manager. “His goal is to grow his coaching experience and we’re happy to help him on his journey, as he helps our players progress on their soccer voyage.”
