(Central Jersey) - Real Central NJ Soccer announced today they signed Nick Yurcho, a two-year captain of Florence Township Memorial High School’s soccer team and who played club soccer for the Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals. Currently, Yurcho is a freshman at La Salle University who plays center back. The signing is pending league and federation approval.
Besides his many soccer-playing plaudits, the 19-year-old from Roebling has volunteered for the Burlington County Animal Alliance and was an auxiliary member of his local fire department. Academically, he’s studying Criminal Justice.
“Being a freshman I know I’m going to have to compete for minutes at school,” says Yurcho. “Playing this summer for Real Central NJ will allow me to remain match ready and play for a championship.”
“Nick is a young guy that we are excited to see what he develops into,” says Head Coach Patrick Snyder. “He has some really good tools giving him tremendous potential.”
“Every team needs some passion and grit, and Nick can provide that,” RCNJ’s men’s General Manager Ira Jersey says. “We’re going to have guys competing at every position, and Nick will help to bring up everyone’s level.”
Yurcho made the All-Burlington County Scholastic League all four years of high school, including three first-team selections and a variety of regional and state plaudits. During his high school career, he scored 14 goals and assisted on 12 more. In 2019 his Ukrainian Nationals club team won the White Division of the U.S. Youth Soccer National League.
“I think the squad the team is putting together will be able to play some exciting soccer,” Yurcho says. “Playing with guys who have more and different experiences will be great for me.”

(Ewing, NJ) - Real Central NJ Soccer anunció hoy que firmaron a Nick Yurcho, un capitán de dos años del equipo de fútbol de Florence Township Memorial High School y que jugó fútbol club para los nacionales ucranianos de Filadelfia. Actualmente, Yurcho es un estudiante de primer año en la Universidad la Salle que juega en el centro.
Además de sus muchas auditorías de fútbol, el joven de 19 años de Roebling se ha ofrecido como voluntario para la Burlington County Animal Alliance y fue un miembro auxiliar de su departamento de bomberos local. Académicamente, está estudiando Justicia Penal.
"Siendo un estudiante de primer año sé que voy a tener que competir por minutos en la escuela", dice Yurcho. "Jugar este verano para el Real Central NJ me permitirá mantenerme listo para el partido y jugar por un campeonato".
