FALLOON JOINS RCNJ AS USL2 ASSISTANT COACH

Kean University's Head Coach Peter-John Falloon Joins Real Central NJ Soccer USL2 Technical Staff

(Central New Jersey) - Peter-John Falloon, the head coach of men’s soccer at Kean University, joins RCNJ as an assistant coach of the club’s USL League Two team. Falloon follows head coach Brian Woods from FC Monmouth of the NPSL where the two coached together from its founding.

"It's exciting to be joining another growing club in New Jersey," Coach Falloon says. "I'm looking forward to working again with Coach Woods as we put together a fantastic squad to play in one of the most competitive USL League Two conferences."

Falloon has more than 15 years of college coaching experience, including Union County Community College, Bloomfield University, and Kean University since 2017. A native of Jamaica, Falloon played goalkeeper for both Union County and Kean, and has had success coaching both of his alma maters. Kean has advanced to the NJAC tournament in three of his four years at the helm.

“It’s thrilling to have someone like Coach Falloon join our staff, especially having come off such a fantastic college season,” said men’s General Manager Ira Jersey. “His experience identifying and managing players will have a positive influence on our 2022 team.”

This year, Falloon led the Cougars to the NJAC Tournament championship after two victories on kicks from the penalty mark, earning a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Kean advanced past Gettysburg College 3-1 before falling to SUNY Cortland by the same scoreline the next day in the second round.

Real Central NJ Soccer is Mercer County region’s minor league soccer club, playing in the highest level pre-professional national leagues in the country, USL League Two (USL2) and the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL).
