ABOUT THE ROLE

Our start up pre-professional soccer team is seeking a Sponsor and Community Relations Liaison to work with our founder, management and partners on all aspects of our community development during our second year in operation. In this position, you will be responsible for implementing all soccer club and community group sales and activations during home games.

Duties include supporting and communicating with groups who will attend home games from our local soccer clubs and community organizations. In addition to being an outstanding communicator, interns will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain relationships with local youth soccer organizations for team and club nights at RCNJ games

  • Liaise and support sponsor activations during home games

  • Work with RCNJ staff to plan logistics for club and sponsor game nights

  • Respond to inquiries and concerns of groups attending games

  • Continue to foster partner organizations that the soccer club may support

  • Assist in set-up and breakdown of game nights along with all Game Day staff

  • Data entry and record keeping as needed

  • Work with the team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Attend all eleven home games, beginning mid-May and ending mid-July

  • Excited to learn while working and not be afraid to make mistakes and try out of the box ideas

  • Ability and willingness to work independently

  • Highly creative with outstanding analytical abilities

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Love of soccer a plus
